Three-part breath (Dirga)
Also known as: Dirga pranayama, Complete breath
German: Dreiteilige Atmung (Dirga), Vollständige Atmung
A yogic technique in which the inhale fills the belly, then the ribs, then the upper chest, and the exhale releases in reverse order. It is taught as a slow, relaxed way to become aware of the whole breathing movement and should never feel forced.
