Left-nostril breathing

Also known as: Single-nostril breathing

A yogic practice in which the right nostril is gently closed and you breathe slowly through the left one for a few cycles. It is used to wind down; evidence for the left side specifically is limited, and much of the calming effect is likely due to the slow pace itself.
