Reichian breathing
Also known as: Reichian breathwork, Vegetotherapy
Fuller breathing combined with bodywork, used by psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich to address chronic muscular tension, which he linked to held-back emotion. It is a historical root of somatic breathwork and Bioenergetic Analysis; Reich's theories remain controversial, and these approaches today live mainly within body psychotherapy.
