Heilkunde and Heilpraktiker

Heilkunde is the German legal term for professionally or commercially diagnosing, treating or alleviating illness, suffering or physical complaints. Practising it generally requires a medical licence (Approbation) or a Heilpraktiker permit, with a separate permit route for psychotherapy. Breathwork facilitators who do not hold such a permit therefore do not diagnose, treat or promise relief of illness. This is general information, not legal advice.
