Anapanasati
Also known as: Mindfulness of breathing
German: Anapanasati (Achtsamkeit auf den Atem), Achtsamkeit auf den Atem, Atemachtsamkeit
A Buddhist meditation practice described in the Anapanasati Sutta, in which attention rests on the natural breath, for example at the nostrils or the abdomen, without trying to control it. It is a contemplative practice within a wider tradition and differs from techniques that deliberately change the breathing pattern.
