Adrenaline
Also known as: Epinephrine
German: Adrenalin, Epinephrin
A hormone and neurotransmitter that prepares the body for action by raising heart rate, alertness and energy availability. Some research on intensive breathing methods has reported adrenaline increases, which may help explain the activated feeling many people describe. Effects depend on the method and the person.
